FOR SOUTHERN CHARITON...PETTIS...CENTRAL CARROLL...SALINE AND EAST
CENTRAL LAFAYETTE COUNTIES...

At 1013 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Brunswick to 6 miles northeast of Sweet Springs
to near Green Ridge, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Public report of winds to 70 MPH in Johnson County.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Sedalia, Marshall, Carrollton, Windsor, Slater, Salisbury, Sweet
Springs, Glasgow, La Monte, Brunswick, Waverly, Smithton, Green
Ridge, Keytesville, Bosworth, Malta Bend, Blackburn, Houstonia,
Wakenda, and Emma.

This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 63 and
85.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for west central
Missouri.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING TO MONDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Blackwater River at Valley City.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning to Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Woodlands and farm fields along the river
begin to flood. At 25.0 feet, County Highway E near Valley City and
Highway 23 near the Perry State Wildlife Area are under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning to a crest of 24.3 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow
evening.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Kansas, including the following areas, Johnson
KS, Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami and Wyandotte and Missouri,
including the following areas, Bates, Cass, Clay, Henry, Jackson,
Johnson MO, Lafayette, Pettis and Platte.

* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms will become widespread this afternoon and evening.
Areas that receive multiple rounds of heavy rain may experience
flooding. Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are possible in
localized areas by tonight.
