* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Kansas, including the following areas,
Atchison KS, Doniphan, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, Miami and
Wyandotte and Missouri, including the following areas, Andrew,
Atchison MO, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Clay, Clinton,
Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Jackson,
Lafayette, Linn MO, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Platte, Putnam,
Ray, Sullivan and Worth.

* WHEN...From 5 PM CDT this afternoon through 3 AM CDT Friday
morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Grand River near Sumner.

* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage
begins to flood.
At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded.
At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 32.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 32.4 feet this evening. It
will then fall tomorrow evening. It will rise to 32.3 feet
early Saturday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
early Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
