...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and northeast Missouri,
including the following counties, in central Missouri, eastern
Audrain. In east central Missouri, northern Montgomery. In
northeast Missouri, southwestern Pike and southwestern Ralls.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1122 AM CDT, The Missouri Department of Transportation
reported several state highways and routes remained closed
including Route B and Highway 154 in southern Ralls County,
Route K in eastern Audrain County, Route M in western Pike
County, and Highway 161 and Route E in northern Montgomery
County.  The warning area received between 3 and 7 inches of
rainfall last night.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Vandalia, Montgomery City, Wellsville, Perry, Laddonia,
Bellflower, Farber, Martinsburg, Curryville, Buell, New
Hartford and Middletown.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and west central
Illinois and northeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The long duration of this event is likely to
worsen heat related impacts, and additional extensions may be
needed beyond Thursday as forecast confidence increases.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
