...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Greene and Webster. * WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 951 PM CDT, Runoff from heavy rain due to thunderstorms will continue late this evening. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Givins Branch at Highway W, Wilson Creek at Farm Road 146, Panther Creek at Highway B, Wilson Creek at Farm Road 156, Pomme De Terre River at Greenwood Road, Wilson's Creek at Farm Road 150 and Niangua River at Highway Y. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Springfield, Marshfield, Strafford, Willard, Fair Grove, Niangua, Brookline, Bassville, Northview, Elkland and Glidewell. - Water levels will are increasing along the James River. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Christian, Douglas, Greene, Ozark, Stone, Webster and Wright. * WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 541 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen with some areas measuring from 1 to 1.5 inches in as short as 15 minutes. - This includes the following low water crossings... Little Beaver Creek at County Road 447, Beaver Creek at County Road 524, Fox Creek at County Road 246, James River at Bell Ford Road, Finley River at Johns Ford Road, Bryant Creek at County Road 223 and Bull Creek at Center Road. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
