...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT FRIDAY NIGHT TO 10 AM CST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 33 below expected. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and southeast Minnesota and northwest and west central Wisconsin. * WHEN...From midnight Friday Night to 10 AM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills may rise into the teens to 20s below zero during the day Saturday, but frostbite can still occur in as little as 20 minutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
