Automated stations have been reporting anywhere from 1-2 mile
visibility for a large portion of western Minnesota this morning,
with isolated areas of under 1/2 mile. Gusty northerly winds are
the main culprit, alongside the fresh powdery snow that fell
yesterday and overnight. Winds will gradually weaken by the
afternoon which will help improve conditions gradually.

Intermittent whiteout conditions are possible due to the gusty
winds, and travelers should take it slow with extra time taken on
