THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 102
possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Northern Aitkin, Koochiching, North Cass,
Itasca, Carlton, St. Louis, and Northern Cook and Lake Counties.
In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, and Iron Counties. This
includes the Tribal Lands of the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake
area, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Fond
du Lac Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band and the
Bois Forte Band, Nett Lake, Deer Creek and, Lake Vermilion areas.
Other locations including Madeline Island, Voyageurs National Park
and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The entire Boundary
Waters is also included.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
