THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow. Additional snow and
sleet accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high
as 35 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy mixed precipitation
possible. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 1 and 3
inches and ice accumulations between one tenth and one quarter of
an inch possible.

* WHERE...Pine and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. This
includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille
Lacs Band, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 AM CDT Friday. For
the Winter Storm Watch, from Friday afternoon through late
Saturday night.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning
commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Worst conditions will be closer to Lake
Superior as strong winds off of the Lake will lead to higher snow
totals and greater reductions in visibilities.

The majority of the snowfall is expected to fall during the daytime
hours. With the high sun angle and temperatures hovering just above
freezing, snowfall will have a difficult time accumulating on warm
surfaces leading to a slushy mess.
