Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Renville, Blue Earth, and Nicollet Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of snow could accompany the strong winds at times across western Minnesota, which could lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility.
