...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY FOR NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA... Dry conditions will lead to near critical fire weather conditions today. Minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 25 percent are expected. In addition a cold front is moving through the area this morning with south winds shifting to the north at 10 to 25 mph. ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PARTS OF NORTHWEST MINNESOTA... * AFFECTED AREA...In Minnesota, Kittson, Roseau, Lake Of The Woods, East Marshall and North Beltrami. * WINDS...South 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly winds will continue to increase over the weekend, with extremely warm temperatures arriving by Sunday. The hot temperatures, low relative humidity values, and strong southerly winds could bring critical fire weather conditions Saturday as well as Sunday afternoon. Focus for worst fire weather conditions is on Sunday as this is the day with the lowest RH, strongest winds and highest temperatures. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
