This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake area and the Bois Forte Band, Nett Lake, Deer Creek and, Lake Vermilion areas. Other locations including Voyageurs National Park. The entire Boundary Waters is also included. * WHEN...From noon Saturday to 9 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...In Minnesota, North Cass, Northern Aitkin, Cook, Lake, Carlton, St. Louis and Itasca Counties and Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas and Iron Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Red Cliff Band, the Fond du Lac Band, the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake area, the Bad River Reservation, the Grand Portage Reservation and the Bois Forte Band, Nett Lake, Deer Creek and, Lake Vermilion areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Madeline Island and Voyageurs National Park. The entire Boundary Waters is also included. * WHEN...From 10 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. ...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Dangerous swimming conditions are expected along the Lake Superior shoreline due to high wave action and strong rip currents. * WHERE...Minnesota Park Point and Wisconsin Point Beaches. * WHEN...From this afternoon through this evening. * IMPACTS...High wave action can make swimming difficult on days such as this. Incoming waves in rapid succession can tire even an experienced swimmer quickly. Rip currents can usher you away from land. To avoid being swept away, swim parallel to the shore to exit a rip current. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions. &&
