...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THURSDAY FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST MINNESOTA... Dry conditions and breezy winds will lead to near critical fire weather conditions Thursday. South winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 20 to 30 mph are forecast. Minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 30 percent are also expected. Together, these conditions could lead to the rapid spread of fires. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, and Iron Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Grand Portage Reservation, the Bad River Reservation and the Red Cliff Band. Other locations including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Fog will develop tonight around Lake Superior and will be dense overnight.
