* WHAT...Areas of blowing snow and scattered snow showers could
briefly reduce visibility to as low as one mile this evening.

SLick roads and untreated surfaces are anticipated through the
evening commute.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and west
central Minnesota.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely
become slick and hazardous. The hazardous conditions will impact
the Wednesday evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Call 5 1 1 or visit
511mn.org for road conditions.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

* WHERE...Benton, Morrison, Stearns, Todd, Kanabec, Mille Lacs,
Douglas, Pope, and Stevens Counties.

* WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 5 PM Thursday to 11 AM
CST Friday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Friday morning through
Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero
