* WHAT...For the first Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds 5 to
10 kt with gusts up to 15 kt and waves 3 to 5 ft occurring. For
the second Small Craft Advisory, north winds 20 to 30 kt with a
few gale force gusts up to 35 kt and waves 7 to 12 ft expected.
For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, heavy freezing spray at a
rate of 2 cm per hour or greater expected, and may rapidly
accumulate on vessels.

* WHERE...Marquette to Munising MI and Munising to Grand Marais
MI.

* WHEN...For the first Small Craft Advisory, until midnight EDT
tonight. For the second Small Craft Advisory, from 9 AM Monday
to 8 AM EDT Tuesday. For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning,
from noon to 8 PM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is
hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic
components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and
superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of
stability. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on
their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area
or conduct mitigation.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
