* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Flint River near Flint.

* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Some basements and backyards along and
near the river begin to flood. Water affects some roads along the
river and its tributaries.
At 14.0 feet, Some homes in Flint Township experience minor
flooding. Some buildings in Burton, along Thread Creek near where
it enters the Flint River, sustain extensive basement damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 12.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this afternoon to a crest of 13.8 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late
tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following
areas, Bay, Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Midland, Oakland,
Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw and
Wayne.

* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks
and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- 1 to 3 inches of rain fell this morning across southeast
Michigan, leading to rises in area rivers and reports of
minor flooding. A second round of rain is expected this
afternoon and evening, with potential for additional amounts
to reach or exceed one inch. The primary concerns are for
additional rises in rivers and areal flooding, although
localized flash flooding cannot be entirely ruled out.
