* WHERE...Chippewa River below Mt. Pleasant.

* WHEN...From this morning to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Expect minor flooding of Island Park and
Nelson Park in western Mt. Pleasant.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:15 AM EDT Thursday was 8.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.7
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
8.7 feet on 06/20/1989.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Michigan, including
the following counties, in central Michigan, Clare, Gratiot,
Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm and Osceola. In west central Michigan,
Lake, Mason, Muskegon and Newaygo.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Saturated soils and additional rounds of rainfall continue to
create the possibility for additional flooding to develop.
