Gusts up to 35-40 knot gales early (highest near Michigan City, IN). Northeast wind 10 to 20 knots early Saturday becoming southwest and diminishing to 10 knots or less in the afternoon. Waves 12 to 17 feet subsiding to 8 to 11 feet tonight. Waves 5 to 8 feet Saturday morning subsiding to 2 to 4 feet in the afternoon. * WHERE...Michigan City IN to St Joseph MI. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 2 AM EDT Saturday. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 2 AM Saturday to 11 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
