Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. * WHEN...From 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ this morning to 11 AM EDT /10 AM CDT/ Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow and northwest wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph will result in deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility will be near zero at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away.
