The combination of drying fuels, low relative humidity, and gusty winds will result in elevated fire danger conditions across central lower Michigan today. East winds between 5-10 mph will gust to 15-20 mph through this afternoon. Relative humidity values as low as 20-30 percent are expected. These conditions support the quick start and spread of wildfires, so be sure to take the proper precautions.
