...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional accumulations of 8 to 14 inches possible across eastern Antrim, western Otsego, eastern Kalkaska, western Crawford, and northern Roscommon counties. A general 3 to 8 inches of snow is anticipated elsewhere. * WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult, especially on roads that have not been plowed. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions are going to impact commutes through Friday evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest band of lake effect snow is expected to impact parts of US-131 between Elmira and Fife Lake... and I-75 just north of Waters (exit 270) to Roscommon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Turn on headlights so oncoming traffic can see your headlights...and following traffic can see your taillights. &&
