...GALE WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Expect sustained winds up to 39 knots from the west
with gusts up to 48 knots. The largest significant waves will
be 9 feet with a potential maximum wave height of 13 feet.

* WHERE...Outer Saginaw Bay SW of Alabaster to Port Austin MI to
Inner Saginaw Bay, Inner Saginaw Bay SW of Point Au Gres to
Bay Port MI and Port Sanilac to Port Huron MI.

* WHEN...The maximum winds are expected around 7 PM EST Monday
with the largest waves expected around 8 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong cold front tracks through the area
Monday morning and may lead to a brief period of storm force
gusts to 50 knots. Strong west-southwest winds are forecast to
cause water levels to drop below low water datum Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

* WHERE...All of southeast Michigan.

* WHEN...From late Sunday night through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow and blowing snow are possible which
should reduce visibilities and could make travel hazardous.
