For the Gale Warning, Highest gusts up to 40 kts from the west and highest waves around 10 feet expected. * WHERE...Straits of Mackinac within 5 nm of Mackinac Bridge including Mackinac Island, St Ignace to False Detour Channel, 5NM East of Mackinac Bridge to Presque Isle Light MI including Bois Blanc Island, Presque Isle Light to Sturgeon Pt MI Including Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Sturgeon Pt to Alabaster MI. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 4 PM EST this afternoon. For the Gale Warning, until 7 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous highest waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Locally higher gusts to 55mph are possible through midnight. * WHERE...Portions of Eastern Upper and Northern Lower Michigan. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, especially in areas still recovering from the March 2025 ice storm. A few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds will also lead to blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibilities in areas that have fresh snow on the ground. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. &&
