FOR OAKLAND AND SOUTHEASTERN GENESEE COUNTIES...

At 641 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Davison to near Metamora to near Rochester to
Detroit Zoo, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

These severe storms will be near...
Warren, Troy, Davison, Oxford, Sterling Heights, and Rochester
around 645 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Franklin, Keego Harbor, Waterford, Orchard Lake, Holly State
Recreation Area, Lathrup Village, Auburn Hills, Bingham Farms, Lake

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
