...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Light freezing rain and drizzle transitioning to wind-driven snow later tonight and Monday. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 9 inches and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Beaver Island and surrounding islands, and Cheboygan, Emmet, and Presque Isle Counties. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage and produce isolated power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. &&
