possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Michigan,
including the following counties, in south central Michigan,
Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia and Jackson. In southwest
Michigan, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa and Van Buren.

* WHEN...Through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rain expected tonight may continue to increase
expected floods on area rivers.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Thornapple River near Caledonia.

* WHEN...From Thursday afternoon to Wednesday, April 22.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, High water begins to impact home on island
below Cascade Dam.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 6.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 11.7 feet early
Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early
Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Grand River near Comstock Park.

* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Homes along Willow Drive and Abrigador
Trail have flooded basements and Abrigador Trail is closed.
Riverbank Street northeast in Plainfield Township is flooded and
homes along Riverbank Street have flooded basements. Konkle Drive
northeast in Plainfield township is flooded.
At 16.0 feet, Major flooding on homes along Abrigador Trail,
Willow Drive, Riverbank Street and Konkle Drive. In Comstock Park
and Plainfield Township approximately 100 homes affected by
flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this evening and continue rising to a crest of 15.7 feet
Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.0 feet on 10/04/1986.
