...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST WEDNESDAY... As expected, light to occasionally moderate intensity snowfall has spread into Southeast Michigan tonight. Snowfall rates will peak between 0.25 and 0.75 inches per hour. Visibility reductions below a half mile are possible at times. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from the I-69 corridor north until 4 PM Wednesday. Total new snow accumulations by Wednesday afternoon range from 2 to 6 inches. The highest snowfall totals are expected north of M-46. Temperatures start out in the upper 20s and climb into the lower 30s overnight, warming to around the freezing mark by mid-morning. Untreated roadways will become slick and snow covered across the region. Drivers should exercise caution and be prepared for variable road conditions. You can obtain the latest road conditions from the MDOT Michigan Drive Map. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

Northwest winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow begins late this evening, with peak snowfall rates up to an inch per hour expected between Midnight and 6 AM.
