...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following areas, Bay, Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Midland, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw and Wayne. * WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - 1 to 3 inches of rain fell this morning across southeast Michigan, leading to rises in area rivers and reports of minor flooding. A second round of rain is expected this afternoon and evening, with potential for additional amounts to reach or exceed one inch.
