...Dense fog to continue into this morning... Areas of dense fog and freezing fog will continue to develop across portions of northern Michigan through the morning hours. Visibilities of one half mile or less have been observed in localized areas. Untreated roadways may be slick in spots due to patchy areas of freezing fog. If you encounter dense fog while traveling, use low beam headlights and increase following distance.

Total snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 4 inches, mainly across portions of Otsego, Oscoda, and Alcona counties. In addition, ice accumulations between one tenth and one quarter of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 7 PM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Power outages and tree damage is possible due to the ice. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
