* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation
expected. Total snow accumulations up to two inches and ice
accumulations around a light glaze. For the Winter Storm Watch,
heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations
between 4 and 6 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze
possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 PM EST this
evening. For the Winter Storm Watch, from this evening through
Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel inconvenience during Saturday.
Dangerous travel and outdoor conditions possible Saturday night
and Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Potential for intervals of now today,
possible mixed with sleet at times. A mix of freezing drizzle or
freezing rain is also likely with a transition to rain possible
where temperatures briefly rise above freezing, mainly along and
south of I-96/696. The responsible low pressure system strengthens
considerably Saturday night making a new round of heavy snow and
mixed precipitation possible through Sunday.

Plan for slower than normal travel time during Saturday. Monitor
