For the Small Craft Advisory, west winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and waves 5 to 8 ft occurring. * WHERE...Saxon Harbor WI to Black River MI, Black River to Ontonagon MI, Ontonagon to Upper Entrance of Portage Canal MI and Upper Entrance of Portage Canal to Eagle River MI. * WHEN...For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, until 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ this morning. * IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of stability. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area or conduct mitigation. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions. &&
