In west central Maine, Central Somerset. In western Maine, Northern Franklin, Northern Oxford and Southern Franklin. * WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Elevated streams and rivers across the Western Maine Mountains will continue to move river ice, keeping a risk of ice jam related flooding through midday. Once the streamflows recede this afternoon the flood risk will improve. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Concerns for ice jam flooding. River ice can cause unexpected flooding and should be monitored closely. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Ice jam can cause unexpected water rises. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Please report any ice jams or flooding to local authorities and the National Weather Service. &&
