...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of North Central and Northern Maine, including the following counties, in North Central Maine, Piscataquis. In Northern Maine, Aroostook. In Maine, Northern Somerset County. * WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 248 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clayton Lake, Saint Pamphile, Lac Frontiere, Daaquam, Saint Juste, Nine-mile Bridge, Baker Lake, Billy-Jack Depot and Allagash Township. - For flood safety visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
