The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Fire Weather Watch for all of northern and eastern Maine, which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Quebec-Maine Borderlands, North Woods and St. John Valley, Eastern Aroostook, Central Highlands, Central Maine North of Bangor, Interior Downeast, Coastal Downeast, Bangor Region and Eastern Penobscot Bay Coast. * TIMING...Friday morning through Friday evening. * WINDS...Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 35 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Up to 68. * IMPACTS...Dry and windy weather combined with dry surface fuels could lead to extensive fire occurrence or rapid fire growth during the daylight hours.
