HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Coastal waters from Fenwick Island DE to Chincoteague VA out 20 NM... Waters from Chincoteague VA to Parramore Island VA from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Fenwick Island DE to Chintoteague VA from 20 to 60 NM... At 213 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Fenwick Island to near Chincoteague Bay, moving southeast at 25 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. &&
