EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN BALTIMORE COUNTY AND EXTREME NORTHEASTERN
BALTIMORE CITY...

At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated about 1 to 3 inches of rain
has fallen in the warned area over the last hour. Additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the next hour.
Excess runoff will lead to flash flooding. The Baltimore County 911
Center reported a vehicle stuck in high water along Eastern
Boulevard and Martin Boulevard in Middle River.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor...

At 549 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Northeast River to near Pooles Island to 9 nm west of
Annapolis, moving southeast at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by
suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

Fort Smallwood State Park, Pinehurst, Turkey Point, North Point State
Park, Hart Miller Island, Gibson Island, Bodkin Point, Tolchester
Beach, Worton Point, Pooles Island, Spesutie Island, Love Point,
Gunpowder River, Baltimore Light, Northeast River, Sevenfoot Knoll,
Rock Hall, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Havre De Grace, and Middle River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
