...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...South winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 35 kt, becoming west 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt. Waves 2 to 5 ft. * WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from Drum Point MD to Smith Point VA and Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding Bloodsworth Island. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southwest winds accompanying a squall line may bring brief gale-force gusts early this morning. This will be followed by a brief drop in winds in the mid- morning hours before winds jump back up to gale-force, but this time out of the west-northwest in the afternoon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions. &&

Winds become west 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 to 50 mph behind a strong cold front this afternoon. * WHERE...Dorchester, Inland Worcester, Maryland Beaches, Somerset, and Wicomico Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
