For the Small Craft Advisory, northeast winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 2 to 4 ft expected. * WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from North Beach MD to Smith Point VA, Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA, Choptank River to Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River, Patuxent River to Broomes Island MD, and Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding Bloodsworth Island. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 6 AM EDT Thursday. ...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 PM EDT FRIDAY... ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IS CANCELLED... ...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED... * WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in St. Marys County. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 5 PM EDT Friday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water covers roads on Saint George Island, is in yards, and is approaching structures. To the east, inundation is occurring at multiple marinas off St. Mary's River, Smith Creek, and Jutland Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two and a half to three feet above normal. The next high tide at Point Lookout is at 12:04 AM and 12:27 PM. The next high tide at Piney Point is at 1:10 AM and 1:33 PM. The next high tide at Coltons Point is at 1:46 AM and 2:09 PM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. && Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
