Snow is expected this evening into tonight, with total accumulations between 2 and 5 inches. Winds will gust as high as 50 mph. Visibility may drop to one-half mile or less at times. Wind chills will fall to near zero. * WHERE...In Maryland, Extreme Western Allegany County. In Virginia, Western Highland County. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions US-220 points west of Cumberland, MD and US-250 west of Monterey, VA. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening and Thursday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The worst conditions could be just before midnight on New Year's Eve and continue into the early morning hours of New Year's Day.
