...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...For the first Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. For the second Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County. * WHEN...For the first Coastal Flood Advisory, until 2 PM EDT this afternoon, especially around the time of high tide. For the second Coastal Flood Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 8 AM EDT Sunday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 3.0 feet, Compromise Street begins to flood in Annapolis. Flooding of much of the City Dock parking lot is occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 11:27 AM and 1:41 AM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. && Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
