A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD... Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD... Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD... Chester River to Queenstown MD... Choptank River to Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River... Eastern Bay... Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor... At 617 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a front, capable of producing winds to around 20 to 30 knots. This front was located along a line extending from 12 nm south of Turkey Point to 7 nm northeast of Chester River to 7 nm east of Miles River, moving west at 10 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 20 to 30 knots and local higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. &&

...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 8 AM EDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Up to one and a half feet of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County. * WHEN...From 3 AM to 8 AM EDT Tuesday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 2.6 feet, water may begin to pond in the parking lot at Annapolis City Dock, and surround the Alex Haley Memorial. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 4:18 PM and 5:30 AM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed.
