* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay north of North Beach MD, Patapsco River
including Baltimore Harbor, Chester River to Queenstown MD,
and Eastern Bay.

* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 6 PM EST this evening. For
the Small Craft Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM EST
Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels.

...POTENTIAL WINTER COMMUTING HAZARD FOR NORTHEAST MARYLAND
WEDNESDAY MORNING...

There is a potential for hazardous commuting conditions for the
Wednesday morning commute. A period of light snow is POSSIBLE (a
30 percent chance) Wednesday morning across northeastern Maryland
with a coating of snow accumulation on area roads.

If this threat does materialize during the Wednesday morning
rush-hour, many roads could quickly turn snow covered and
slippery. This could lead to dangerous traveling conditions,
multiple accidents, and extensive delays.

If commuting Wednesday morning, be aware of the POSSIBILITY of
significant travel disruptions. Plan ahead by allowing for extra
travel time, and consider using public transportation and telework
options.

...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY...

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 45 to 50 mph.
There may be a lull in the wind gusts between 3 AM and 7 AM, but
winds will increase again later Tuesday morning before gradually
subsiding during the afternoon.

* WHERE...Portions of DC, central, north central, northeast, and
northern Maryland, and northern Virginia.

* WHEN...Until noon EST today.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
