...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways (11.3 to 13.2 feet Mean Lower Low Water). * WHERE...Eastern Essex MA, Suffolk MA and Eastern Norfolk MA Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST this morning. * IMPACTS...Shallow pockets of flooding less than one foot deep affects the lowest lying areas along the coast, including Morrissey Boulevard in Boston. Most roads remain passable. Flooding up to one foot deep affects coastal roads on the North Shore from Salem to Gloucester and Newburyport. Rough surf will cause flooding on some coastal roads around the time of high tide due to splashover. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. ...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 AM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations between 18 and 25 inches. Winds gusting as high as 75 mph. * WHERE...Portions of eastern, northeastern, and southeastern Massachusetts and northern and southern Rhode Island. * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. &&
