...LOCALIZED POCKETS OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND FREEZING DRIZZLE ACROSS INTERIOR SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND WILL CHANGE TO PLAIN RAIN BY MID MORNING... Temperatures across much of interior southern New England have risen to 32 degrees or just above. While conditions were improving...some of the typical low-lying locations will continue to see pockets of localized light freezing rain & freezing drizzle into mid-morning. Motorists should drive with extra caution into mid-morning especially when traveling across bridges and overpasses. They may appear wet, but contain patches of black ice. Temperatures should rise above freezing in all locations by mid- morning, bringing an end to the icy travel.
