* At 555 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Southampton, Huntington, Russell, Westhampton, Chester, Blandford,
Chesterfield, Worthington, Montgomery and Middlefield.

area, Hartford CT and western Massachusetts, including the
following areas, Eastern Franklin MA, Eastern Hampden MA, Eastern
Hampshire MA, Western Franklin MA, Western Hampden MA and Western
Hampshire MA.

* WHEN...From noon EDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow moving thunderstorms will bring heavy rain and scattered
flash flooding this afternoon and evening.
