Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The long duration of the winds coupled with heavy rain and fully leafed trees may exacerbate the risk for tree damage and power outages. ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Central and eastern Massachusetts as well as all of Rhode Island. * WHEN...Through late Monday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Periods of rain will continue across the region right through Monday. Storm total rainfall amount of 2-4" are expected, but localized 5-7" amounts are possible. If these higher amounts are realized...the potential for both urban and small river/stream flooding would increase.
