* WHAT...Heat index values 95 to 100 degrees during the afternoon
hours. The worst of the heat and humidity will be Wednesday and
Thursday and it is possible that these heat headlines may need to
be extended into Friday.

* WHERE...All of southern New England except the east slopes
Berkshires as well as Cape Cod and the Islands.

* WHEN...From 11 AM Tuesday to 7 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
