* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Tangipahoa River near Robert.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Evacuation of trailers at Hidden Oaks
Campground must be completed. Water covers the entrance to camp
grounds. Secondary roads and unimproved roads north of Robert will
flood as Chappepeela Creek backs up. Low places on Highway 22 south
of Robert will be under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 17.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
Tuesday morning and continue falling to 14.3 feet Wednesday
morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.8
feet on 09/16/2021.
