...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following parish, St. Tammany and southern Mississippi, including the following county, Hancock. * WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1055 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in Pearl River due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Pearl River is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1035 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
