At 315 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms near Greenwood, or 7 miles southwest of Shreveport, moving southwest at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Shreveport, Bossier City, Marshall, Greenwood, Blanchard, Waskom, Benton, Elysian Fields, Fosters, Deberry, Eastwood, Scottsville, Keachi, Cross Lake, Spring Ridge, Jonesville, Barksdale Air Force Base, Ferguson, Keat Chie and Midyett. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
