- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 58.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.

* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, The grounds of the older part of Louisiana
State University's campus become soggy. This includes the area
around the Veterinary Medicine building, the Veterinary Medicine
Annex, the stadium and ball fields. The city of Baton Rouge and
the main LSU campus are protected by levees at this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 40.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.

Coastal Jefferson Parish, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana,
Eastern Ascension, Eastern Orleans, Iberville, Lower Jefferson,
Lower Lafourche, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Lower
Tangipahoa, Lower Terrebonne, Northern Livingston, Northern St.
Tammany, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, Southeast St.
Tammany, Southern Livingston, Southwestern St. Tammany, St.
Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John The Baptist, Upper
Jefferson, Upper Lafourche, Upper Plaquemines, Upper St. Bernard,

- Heavy rain will move into the area beginning late today. Four
to six inches of rain is forecast across the area during this
timeframe, locally higher amounts are possible.
